What we store
- Your email address, to sign you in and to send alerts.
- A password, if you chose one. We keep only a scrambled version of it (a hash), never the password itself, so we cannot read it. People who sign in with Google have no password with us.
- The domain names you add, and the yearly price if you type one in.
- What we find about those domains in public registry records: the registrar, the expiry date, the nameservers and the status, plus a history of changes.
- Your settings, such as whether alert emails are on. You can download everything we hold about you from Settings, at any time.
Where the domain information comes from
From public registry records (RDAP, the modern replacement for WHOIS). We do not ask for, and never need, a login or API key for your registrar.
Cookies and similar storage
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is needed for the service to work.
- A setting stored in your browser that remembers dark or light mode.
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not currently run analytics.
Emails
We send a confirmation link when you sign up, a one-time sign-in link if you forget your password, and, if alerts are on, a daily summary when a domain is about to expire or something changed. Every alert email has a link that turns alerts off. We do not send marketing email.
Who can see your data
Only you, and the people who run the service. We do not sell your data. We use an email delivery provider, a hosting provider and Cloudflare Turnstile (a bot check on the sign-up and sign-in forms, which sees your browser and address to tell people from programs) to run the service, and they process data on our behalf. The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when a page opens.
Keeping and deleting
Removing a domain from your list deletes its stored check history. To delete your whole account and everything stored about you, ask us through the contact page and we will do it.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above.
